Phonics Rescue Toolkit
Phonics leads to better reading, which leads to perfect reading. I have designed a phonics course that will give your child everything they need to succeed at Phonics.
Practice Alien Words
Children need to DECODE words – not guess. Alien Words and nonsense words are words that do not exist in the English language, but can still be sounded out with good phonics skills. I have a very simple phonics game that can strengthen a child’s decoding skills.
What will you gain with me?
Confidence
Confidence to support your child on their learning journey, no matter what capacity that may be in. This, in turn, will give your children confidence allowing you and them to handle challenges in the early years with a problem-solving mindset instead of fear.
A Head Start
Giving children a head start means equipping them with the skills, experiences, and support they need early on to thrive in school and beyond. It is not about rushing their learning but laying a strong foundation in areas like communication, curiosity, and emotional development. This early boost can build momentum that lasts a lifetime.
Readiness
School readiness is about more than just knowing letters and numbers—it is the combination of emotional, social, and cognitive skills that prepare a child to make the most of their learning. When children are ready, they are more likely to enjoy school, engage confidently, and adapt well to new routines and environments.

My Philosophy: Helping you to help them.
As parents, carers, new teachers, teaching assistants, child minders, after-school supervisors, tutors or home-school facilitators, we are not always clued up as to how to help our youngest to thrive. When we do not have the ‘know how’, our best may not be useful. We have been there and done it, year after year. We have seen the growth, faced the challenges, celebrated the triumphs and want to give you the tools to do the same.
